SHAKOPEE, MN – Bob Morehouse champion VOs Filo was the post time favorite for the $38,200 Cash Caravan Stakes at Canterbury Park Sunday afternoon and he did not disappoint. VOs Filo ($4.60) broke sharply under Jose Montoya and pulled away to a 3/4 length victory over Mountain Rake ($8.00).
“He’s pretty easy to train,” said winning trainer Ed Ross Hardy. “He does his job and my crew here has done a great job with him.”
Defending champion Little Bit Brandy was third.
VOs Filo covered the 440 yard distance in 22.17 seconds.
Next up for the 3-year old VOs Filo could be the $45,000 Minnesota Quarter Horse Derby on Minnesota Festival of Champions Day on August 21.
