In the midst of the nearly two week break in racing at Canterbury brought on by the Twin Cities Summer Jam series of concerts, work on the backside continues. Horses need to be fed, exercised (on the training track for the weekend), groomed and bathed. The need to care for the animals doesn’t subside because racing is on hiatus. Even when racing continues, the dedication of the backside community to the animals in their care continues each and every day.
Heather was able to capture some of these amazing people and animals with her camera before the break.
Canterbury resumes racing this Thursday night. Post time is 6 PM.
