Fairmount Park in Collinsville, IL cancelled its live racing card today, March 31, due to a labor dispute.

An informational picket line was set up at the racetrack earlier today revolving around a company named All-State Roofing, the details of which are unclear.  Enough unionized workers at the track refused to cross the line leading to an insufficient number of employees to run today’s race card.

“All parties are currently working diligently to resolve the issue at this time,” said John Sloan, spokesman for the track.  The track hopes to be running its next regularly scheduled race card on Saturday, April 4, with a post time of 1 PM.
