SHAKOPEE, MN – Canterbury Park released it’s 2019 Quarter Horse stakes schedule featuring the $150,000 (estimated) Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity headlining a day of only Quarter Horse racing on July 7. July 7th will feature seven stakes races including the Futurity worth over $400,000.

“This is the Fastest Day in Minnesota Sports,” senior director of racing Andrew Offerman said. “Minnesota quarter horse racing has produced some very solid runners in recent years and deserves a showcase like this. We will feature the best and fastest quarter horses on a single day competing for the biggest purses Canterbury Park offers.”
The late Cam Casby, a leading breeder of both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horses in Minnesota, will be honored with a namesake Futurity. The $20,000 Cam Casby Futurity will be run on August 10 and is open to Minnesota bred 2-year old Quarter Horses.
